Volleyball Recap: Conneaut Comes Up Short

Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Jefferson Area Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-9.

Despite the loss, Conneaut still got an impressive performance from Lynn Muha, who had nine digs and four assists.

Jefferson Area can attribute much of their success to Madeline Steen, who had 13 digs. Steen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Conneaut's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Jefferson Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Conneaut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Maplewood on the 2nd. As for Jefferson Area, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lakeside on the 2nd.
