Soccer Recap: Vandalia Christian Comes Up Short

Vandalia Christian was the 9-0 winner over Tabernacle Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings lost 7-3 to the Conquerors on Monday. While losing is never fun, Vandalia Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 521st, while Tabernacle Christian are ranked 169th).

Vandalia Christian dropped their record down to 2-9-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five contests. As for Tabernacle Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Vandalia Christian didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Alamance Christian on the 23rd. As for Tabernacle Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cramerton Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
