Softball Game Preview: West Forsyth Titans vs. Reagan Raiders

The West Forsyth Titans will square off against the Reagan Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Reagan will be up against a hot West Forsyth squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. The Titans were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over East Forsyth on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Reagan hadn't done well against Davie recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the War Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

West Forsyth's win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Reagan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

West Forsyth came out on top in a nail-biter against Reagan in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
