Preview: Palisades Pumas vs. Rocky River Ravens
The Palisades Pumas will play host again and welcome the Rocky River Ravens, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Palisades proved on Friday. They strolled past South Point with points to spare, taking the game 70-56.
Palisades got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayln Hayes out in front who scored 17 points. Kingston Henry was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rocky River didn't have too much trouble with Martinsville at home on Saturday as they won 78-59. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rocky River.
It was another big night for Jayden Ross, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brian Car, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Palisades now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Rocky River, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Palisades came up short against Rocky River in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 83-70. Thankfully for Palisades, Jaden Lyles (who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
