Softball Recap: Manchester's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Manchester came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Catholic Eagles, falling 13-1. The game marked the Red Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Manchester saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Fontaine '25, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double was Fontaine '25's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Manchester fell to 4-1. As for East Catholic, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Manchester will face off against Northwest Catholic at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for East Catholic, they will take on Lewis Mills at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
