Softball Recap: Oroville Tigers vs. Las Plumas Thunderbirds
Oroville had lost nine straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-21 to make it ten. They lost 22-0 to the Las Plumas Thunderbirds. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.
As for Las Plumas, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-3. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbirds, who have now won 20 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
For Las Plumas' part, the team relied heavily on Kendal Headley, who fired off two home runs, nine RBI, and four runs while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave Headley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Atteberry, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one RBI.
As of now, neither Oroville nor Las Plumas have any future games scheduled.
