Softball Game Preview: Nocona Indians vs. Era Hornets

The Nocona Indians will challenge the Era Hornets at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Nocona is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Lindsay on Monday. They lost 19-1 to the Knights. The Indians have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Heidi Atteberry was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, Era was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Muenster, falling 10-0.

Era's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Nocona, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Nocona beat Era 5-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
