With a playoff win on the line, Standish-Sterling rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Ludington Orioles with a sharp 10-2 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 14 matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Standish-Sterling is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 24-4-1 record this season. As for Ludington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20.

Looking ahead, Standish-Sterling will face off against Petoskey on Saturday. The Northmen will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Ludington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
