It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Del City had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Shawnee Wolves 31-0. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Del City's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Javonte Neeqauye with two. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made eight or more in the last four games he's played. Cameren Freeman was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defending a pass.
The victory (which was Del City's tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 47.4 points. As for Shawnee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Del City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 66-0 win against Bishop McGuinness on the 22nd. Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
