Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Spokane Wildcats vs. Seattle Prep Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mt. Spokane knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Seattle Prep likes a good challenge.

Mt. Spokane is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Central Valley 79-56. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Seattle Prep won against Liberty on Saturday with 78 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Seattle Prep beat Liberty by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 78-59. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Mt. Spokane's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for Seattle Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 18-10.

Mt. Spokane came up short against Seattle Prep in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, falling 76-69. Can Mt. Spokane avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
