League recap: Arlington leads league with three wins since last week

Top honors in the league this week go to Arlington, which finished with three wins overall, good for best in the league. The Admirals beat John Jay 2-1, Fox Lane 13-11 and North Rockland 4-2.

Arlington (21-6, 2-1) is red-hot, having won five straight games, the longest such streak in Section 1 Freelance. Three of those wins came in the past week,.

Tuckahoe boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

Mike Arborn stayed on top of the league with a .638 average this year after hitting .750 this week for the Tigers.



The highest batting average in the league this week belonged to Tuckahoe's Arborn, who churned out three hits in four at bats for a .750 average. For the season, he's hitting .638, good for first in the league. Arborn has accumulated 44 base knocks this year so far.
