Alamo Heights saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunt Conger, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Conger has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Gunnar Jones was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Alamo Heights has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
