Recap: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Dublin Lions
The Jacksboro Tigers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Dublin, posting a 73-7 victory at home. Considering Jacksboro has won six contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jacksboro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Sams, who rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Sams was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards. Another player making a difference was Lando Belcher, who threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Jacksboro's victory was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Dublin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Jacksboro will take on Callisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dublin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
