Soccer Game Preview: West Charlotte vs. Chambers

West Charlotte is 1-8-1 against Chambers since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lions will head out to take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m.

West Charlotte is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Harding University. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but West Charlotte couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in March, Chambers was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and North Mecklenburg finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Daniela Gonzalez and Rubi Martinez scored both of Chambers' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

Chambers' draw makes their record 7-6-2 this season. As for West Charlotte, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16-1.

West Charlotte suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Chambers when the teams last played back in April. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
