Jonah Garcia Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Pflugerville Connally was led to victory by Jonah Garcia, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Garcia rushed for 279 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (119.7) per game. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Pflugerville Connally's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. Garcia and Pflugerville Connally will face off against Navarro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Dylan Owens Turns in Season-Best Performance
Dylan Owens produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Elgin to the win on Friday. Owens rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. He has become a key player for Elgin: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
Elgin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Owens and Elgin will venture away from home to take on Bastrop at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Kyle May and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Liberty Hill picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kyle May. May was dynamite, rushing for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
This season, May has run in 15 touchdowns while averaging 127.4 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had one rushing touchdown.

Muchaw Came Up Big in Liberty Hill's 35-28 Win
Liberty Hill picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Bryce Muchaw. Pflugerville had no answer to Muchaw as he rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Muchaw got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 81 yards.
For the season, Muchaw has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 126.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 2.86 rushing yards per game.

Cole Taylor Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Cole Taylor of Pflugerville. Taylor threw for 355 yards and four touchdowns. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 302 passing yards dating back to last season.
Pflugerville's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers takes on Crockett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
