Baseball Recap: Jones Trojans vs. Lejeune Devil Pups
If Jones was riding high fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Liberty Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans lost 13-3 to the Lejeune Devil Pups on Tuesday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Devil Pups apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Garris Andrews put in work no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Andrews wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was James Davidson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
