Softball Recap: Mt. Vernon-Enola Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bigelow

There's no place like home for Mt. Vernon-Enola, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bigelow Panthers a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mt. Vernon-Enola's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.75 runs across that stretch. As for Bigelow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon-Enola will face off against Rose Bud at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bigelow, they will take on Central Arkansas Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
