Basketball Game Preview: Council Cobras vs. Twin Valley Panthers

Council hasn't had much luck against Twin Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Council Cobras will face off against the Twin Valley Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Council is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Tazewell and fell 78-32.

Meanwhile, Twin Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 75-49 to Tazewell.

Twin Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Council, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Council beat Twin Valley 39-27 when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Will Council repeat their success, or does Twin Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
