Basketball Recap: North Cedar Comes Up Short

North Cedar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 49-38 to the Lisbon Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-17 back in December of 2024.

North Cedar's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Lisbon, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

When North Cedar and Lisbon next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. North Cedar will try to stop Maquoketa Valley's 17-game winning streak when the meet at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lisbon will face off against Mid-Prairie and their five-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
