Volleyball Recap: Catskill Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Catskill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-19, 25-7.

Leading Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville to victory were Brooke Trumble and Olivia Hinkle. Trumble had seven aces and five kills, while Hinkle had eight aces. Trumble is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season.

Catskill's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Catskill has already played their next game (against Oppenheim-Ephratah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mayfield at 6:00 p.m. The match will give the Wolves their first taste of in-conference action this season.
