Cedarcrest turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the Cedarcrest Red Wolves, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They rang in the new year with a 49-36 victory over Cedar Park Christian on Saturday. This was payback for Cedarcrest, who suffered a 34-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cedarcrest found their leader in underclassman Kiki Anderson, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least 25% of Cedarcrest's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laine Mckenzie, who scored eight points along with four steals.

Cedarcrest has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for Cedar Park Christian, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cedarcrest will face off against Cascade at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar Park Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on King's at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th.
