Softball Recap: Pulaski County Maroons vs. Green County Dragons
Pulaski County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green County Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.
Pulaski County's loss dropped their record down to 10-19-2. As for Green County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pulaski County will host Bryan Station at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Defenders' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Maroons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Green County, they will welcome Cumberland County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight.
