Basketball Recap: McFarland Gets the Win

McFarland proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 41) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Fort Atkinson Blackhawks 51-48. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-39 back in December of 2025.

McFarland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points over those games. As for Fort Atkinson, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. McFarland will take on rival Sauk Prairie at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fort Atkinson is set to face off against their familiar foe Reedsburg on Monday.
