Football Recap: Harrison Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Harrison Central and Tylertown pushed the score to 55-36 the last time they played Tylertown, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Red Rebels and the Chiefs were almost perfectly matched up, but the Red Rebels suffered a 13-12 defeat. The Red Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Despite the loss, Harrison Central still got an impressive performance from Leondre Franklin, who rushed for 180 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries. Franklin's longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Ke'Adrian Brown also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.

A big part of Tylertown's win came down to the chemistry between Keonnis Davis and his top target Landon Thompson. Davis threw for 130 yards and one touchdown while Thompson rushed for 81 yards on only 11 carries. Davis also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making three total tackles (2.0 for loss).

This is the second loss in a row for Harrison Central and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Tylertown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Harrison Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-6 defeat against D'Iberville on the 26th. As for Tylertown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-20 win against Perry Central on the 25th.
