Volleyball Recap: Bishop Gorman Wins High-Profile Match Against Centennial

Bishop Gorman faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Gaels were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The victory was nothing new for the Gaels as they're now sitting on three straight.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-3, 25-16.

Chloe Lopez had a dynamite game, getting 14 digs and seven assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Bishop Gorman's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Centennial, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Bishop Gorman and Shadow Ridge will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Centennial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foothill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
