Volleyball Recap: Shell Lake Has No Trouble Against Clayton

Shell Lake not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Clayton Bears 3-0. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

While Shell Lake might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Clayton scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-22.

Quinn Schenkenberg paced Shell Lake's offense, picking up 17 kills. Schenkenberg got some help from Ella Marker and her 18 assists. Schenkenberg also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Shauna Swan, racking up five apiece.

The win got Shell Lake back to even at 3-3. As for Clayton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shell Lake will challenge Drummond at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Clayton, they will welcome Turtle Lake at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
