Baseball Recap: United Comes Up Short

After flying high against Penns Manor on Monday, United came back down to earth. The Lions fell 7-3 to the Conemaugh Township Indians on Tuesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Dmitri Worthington was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

United has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Conemaugh Township, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

While United had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
