Basketball Recap: Ezrielle Sanders Key Part of a Team Effort in Jaguars Win

Pritzker's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took down The Noble Academy Griffins 37-22. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.

Pritzker's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ezrielle Sanders, who posted six points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Kalyne Rodriguez was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Pritzker smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Pritzker's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for The Noble Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Pritzker and Johnson will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Pritzker's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Johnson's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for The Noble Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on ITW David Speer Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
