Basketball Recap: Woodmont Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Woodmont, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 51-42 victory over the Fairfield Central Griffins on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The victory got Woodmont back to even at 5-5. As for Fairfield Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Woodmont will be taking part in a tournament against Elbert County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Elbert County will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Woodmont surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fairfield Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Newberry at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
