Baseball Recap: Southampton Has No Trouble Against Windsor

Southampton barely beat Windsor the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Southampton was the clear victor by a 10-1 margin over Windsor on Thursday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Dukes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Gannon Ritter was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Chase Griffith, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Southampton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Windsor, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Southampton will face off against Surry County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windsor, they will take on Randolph-Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Randolph-Henry has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
