Basketball Recap: Sartell-St. Stephen Comes Up Short

If Sartell-St. Stephen was feeling good fresh off their 76-43 takedown of Willmar last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres took a 73-56 bruising from the Rogers Royals on Friday. The loss was the Sabres' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sartell-St. Stephen fell to 3-1. As for Rogers, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sartell-St. Stephen and Fergus Falls will compete for holiday cheer at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rogers, they will be home for the holidays to greet Elk River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rogers' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
