Recap: Everglades Gators vs. Cooper City Cowboys
If the Everglades Gators were feeling good off their 43-19 takedown of the Plantation Colonels last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Everglades was beaten by Cooper City 66-31 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Everglades has suffered since December 14, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cooper City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eliana Reese, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Reese hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Isabella Riollana was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Everglades' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10. As for Cooper City, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Everglades does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cooper City will head out on the road to face off against Nova at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Nova focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Friday.
