Basketball Recap: Notus Falls Despite Big Games from Luis Vargas and Caleb Cudaback

If Notus was riding high fresh off their 59-22 takedown of Wilder last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Notus Pirates fell 62-52 to the Compass Charter Aviators on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Aviators this season, with their most recent defeat being a 63-53 loss on February 7th.

Despite the loss, Notus had strong showings from Caleb Cudaback, who en route to 21 points in addition to eight boards and five steals, and Luis Vargas, who posted 16 points. Notus is 11-2 when Cudaback posts three or more steals, but 3-8 otherwise.

Notus' defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Compass Charter, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

As of now, neither Notus nor Compass Charter have any future games scheduled.
