Basketball Recap: Harmony Piles Up the Points Against Port St. Lucie

Harmony won the last time they faced Port St. Lucie and things went their way on Thursday too. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 63-29 stomp they got against the Port St. Lucie Jaguars. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 492nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Port St. Lucie lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryan Desgrottes, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Graham, who put up three points and three steals.

The win was the third in a row for Harmony, bringing their record for this year to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Port St. Lucie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Harmony wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-43 victory against South Dade on the 27th. As for Port St. Lucie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-60 win against Lake Mary on the 27th.
