Volleyball Recap: Mosley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mosley can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Choctawhatchee Indians on Thursday. While the Dolphins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-21 in the first set.

Mosley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.

Kenna Vandel paced Mosley's offense, picking up 15 kills. Vandel got some help from Mckenzie Rimmer and her 30 assists. Rimmer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Choctawhatchee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mikah Bandy out in front who had 19 digs. Those 19 digs gave Bandy a new career-high. Airabella Delay was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

Mosley has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. As for Choctawhatchee, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-12.

Mosley has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Middleburg on the 22nd. As for Choctawhatchee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Chiles on the 22nd.
