Volleyball Recap: Trinidad Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Alicia Barron and Elia Bowman + How To Watch

Trinidad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the La Veta Redhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Trinidad took La Veta into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-13, 25-23, 19-25, 15-11.

Trinidad's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elia Bowman, who had seven aces and four digs, and Alicia Barron, who had 20 digs.

Trinidad's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for La Veta, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-18.

Trinidad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Sargent on the 23rd. As for La Veta, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Primero on the 24th.
