Basketball Recap: Raleigh Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Raleigh can now relate to. They were dealt a 65-22 loss at the hands of the Bogue Chitto Bobcats on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Bobcats are ranked 71st).

Raleigh is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19. As for Bogue Chitto, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-3.

Raleigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bogue Chitto, they will challenge Heidelberg at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Bogue Chitto's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matches.
