Kolby Stringer turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two earned runs surrendered on Thursday. He turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. West Marion is 10-2 when Stringer allows one or fewer earned runs, but 4-14 otherwise.

Stringer's strong effort led West Marion over Southeast Lauderdale and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
