Football Game Preview: Raytown Bluejays vs. Platte County Pirates + Official Tickets

Raytown hasn't had much luck against Platte County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bluejays will look to defend their home field against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Raytown and Chrisman, and Chrisman kept the tradition alive. The Bluejays lost 40-16 to the Bears on Friday.

Even if they lost, Raytown's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Platte County). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Ruskin 70-6. Fans of the Pirates have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Platte County's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Raytown, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
