Softball Recap: Yough Cougars vs. South Allegheny Gladiators

The matchup between Yough and South Allegheny on Monday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. Everything went the Yough Cougars' way against the South Allegheny Gladiators as the Yough Cougars made off with a 14-6 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Yough needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Kylee Fisher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Fisher was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Makayla Spoonhoward was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 5-for-5. Kaylin Ritenour was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a home run.
