Exeter Township came tearing into  Friday's  matchup with four straight wins  dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   9-4  victory over the Cedar Crest Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Exeter Township got a great performance from  Gavin Miller as he  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  Miller has posted since back in April of 2024.
 On the hitting side,  Carter Redding was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Jake Hafer, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Exeter Township pushed their record up to 2-0 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Cedar Crest, their record now sits at 1-1.
 Exeter Township didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  12-1  win against Garden Spot on the 24th. As for Cedar Crest, they have also  already played their next contest,  a  14-8  victory against Lebanon on the 24th.
