Basketball Recap: Princeton Comes Up Short

Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Monticello Magic 85-37. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

It was another big night for Jackson Soroko, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds for Monticello. Soroko is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Disch, who went 5 of 7 en route to 17 points.

Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Monticello, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Princeton Tigers face off against the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monticello, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 93-68 win against Willmar on the 4th.
