Mentor's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 67-62 win over the Cleveland Heights Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Tigers back in January, they had to take a 78-70 loss.

Mentor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Kennedy led the charge by going 6 of 13 to rack up 20 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Frasure-Azzano, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Cleveland Heights lost, don't look at Bryce Darden. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 6 on his way to 12 points along with six assists and six steals. The dominant performance gave Darden a new career-high in points. Carter Armstrong was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Mentor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Cleveland Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
