Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evangelical Christian). They really took it to the IMG Academy Silver Ascenders for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-25 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.

Evangelical Christian found their leader in sophomore Quez Outten, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Outten a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Irwin, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Evangelical Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Evangelical Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for IMG Academy Silver, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Evangelical Christian will head out to face off against Out-of-Door Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for IMG Academy Silver, they will look to defend their home court on January 17th against Zephyrhills Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m.
