            Softball Recap: Slippery Rock Rockets vs. Oil City Oilers        
        
		
        
        
            Slippery Rock had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Oil City on Tuesday. The Rockets blew past the Oilers 11-1. That's more bragging rights for the Rockets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

 Joslyn Korcok made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Korcok was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Christy Frazier was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Grace Wetzel, who  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and two  runs.
 Slippery Rock was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive  games.
Slippery Rock's record now sits at 2-8. As for Oil City,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-10.
