Football Recap: Clayton Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Clayton's offense. They fell 12-0 to the Corinth Holders Pirates on Wednesday. The Comets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.

Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Corinth Holders, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clayton will take on rival Garner at 5:00 p.m. on October 21. Meanwhile, Corinth Holders is set to square off against their familiar foe Wakefield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Pirates their first taste of in-conference action this season.
