Football Recap: Lancaster Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lancaster had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it four. They were dealt a 48-13 loss at the hands of the Rappahannock Raiders. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.

As for Rappahannock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering their considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Lancaster is ranked 335th).

Rappahannock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cj Kelly led the charge by rushing for 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns. L'Mari Ellis-Thomas was another key player, rushing for 75 yards and two scores.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 47-0 defeat against Essex on the 7th. As for Rappahannock, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 56-21 victory against Westmoreland on the 8th.
