Volleyball Game Preview: Jackson Polar Bears vs. St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish

The Jackson Polar Bears will square off against the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

St. Vincent-St. Mary will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Jackson extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday. The Polar Bears put the hurt on Firestone with a sharp 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Vincent-St. Mary, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Archbishop Hoban on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-15.

St. Vincent-St. Mary pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Jackson came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Vincent-St. Mary in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Polar Bears repeat their success, or do the Fighting Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
