Softball Recap: Horton Comes Up Short

Horton fell victim to Jackson Heights and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Cobras, falling 7-0. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Cobras recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Horton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Jackson Heights, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Horton will challenge rival Atchison County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Jackson Heights is set to face off against their familiar foe Valley Falls at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
