Basketball Recap: Harrison Comes Up Short

Harrison lost against Hillgrove back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Harrison Hoyas took a 69-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillgrove Hawks. The Hoyas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillgrove found their leader in freshman Bryson Jatta, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards set a new season-high mark for Jatta. Another player making a difference was Cowyn Glass, who posted eight points and three steals.

Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Hillgrove, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Harrison is taking a road trip to face off against Grayson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
